Curves and beard styles

One of the most awaited races of the year by motorcycle lovers is approaching. Next June 3rd, the Mugello circuit will once again host the MotoGP World Championship: a combination of curves, straights, and uphill and downhill slopes that will keep thousands of fans from all over the world holding their breath.

To prepare for the event, let’s retrace some of the most adrenaline-pumping curves of the famous Tuscan track by comparing each of them to a beard style.

San Donato Curve & the Bandholz

The high-adrenaline opening straight is immediately followed by the San Donato curve – the stage of countless overtakes. This part of the track is utterly thrilling, also because of the hill that prevents the riders from seeing what lies behind it…

Somewhat like the Bandholz, a full and sexy beard style that covers the cheeks and face. It takes its name from the man who launched it in 2011, turning it into the beard style that now symbolizes hipster culture. Once you’ve achieved the right length, shape its curves and edges as you please, according to your own style.

Materassi Curve & the Van Dyke

Four seconds in which speed decreases by as much as 100 km/h. The Materassi curve is undoubtedly the most ‘violent’ bend on the Mugello circuit due to its short and sharp structure. It never fails to thrill the audience and ‘squeeze’ its curbs.

The Van Dyke is equally sharp, featuring a sleek moustache combined with a neatly groomed goatee. To achieve it, shave your cheeks and neck with a razor and then give just the right shape to the rest.

Casanova-Savelli Curve & the Short Stubble

It’s the most sudden bend in the Mugello circuit, where no mistake is allowed and a ‘smooth’ release of the throttle prevents riders from losing control of their motorcycles.

It’s tight – just as the Short Stubble style ensures. To achieve it, keep your beard no longer than 6 millimetres, shave your neck and cheeks with a razor, and carefully finish the edges.

Correntaio Curve & the Garibaldi

Located on a slightly downhill slope, the Correntaio curve forces riders to enter at high speed and showcase their entire skillset to keep their balance. It’s challenging and has always led to bends at astonishing angles.

Speaking of a challenge, it’s impossible not to mention the Garibaldi. A wide base and full moustache give this beard a polished yet ‘unkempt’ look. To achieve it, let your beard grow up to 15 centimetres, then shave your cheeks with a razor and shape its edges.
